FRP stairs – rust-free stair sets for tanks, towers and platforms

Treads, handrails and landings in FRP with stainless bolts

Updated 07/10/2026 · Santiago FRP

The Santiago FRP rust-free stair set consists of FRP treads, handrails and landings joined with 304 stainless steel bolts. It is used to reach storage tanks, towers, working platforms and factory roofs where steel stairs rust quickly.

Why not use steel stairs?

Steel stairs outdoors, next to chemical tanks or near the sea rust first at the treads and feet. Rusted treads thin out and can break under a climber, and steel stairs need regular repainting. FRP stairs do not rust, need no painting and do not conduct electricity. The parts are light, so they are easy to transport and assemble.

Where are FRP stairs used?

  • Access to storage tanks and wastewater tanks.
  • Cooling towers and platforms around equipment.
  • Roofs of chemical and plating plants.
  • Jetties and coastal structures.

How do I order an FRP stair?

Each stair is calculated for the height, position and direction of climb on your site. Send a photo of the location with the height to climb and Santiago FRP will size and quote it. Walkways to match: FRP grating.
